a dance for one.

Hello Lovelies,

Here's a collection video I came across recently. It's by the Australian Label LOVER and features their new collection "a dance for one".
Now, we all know I am a great admirer of the art of ballet so I'm sure you will understand how much I loved this video the moment I saw it. Not to mention that "Gymnopédie nº 1" by Satie happens to be one of my classical favourites! And of course, the clothes are beautiful. Could a collection be more feminine and delicate?

"To celebrate our new collection arriving in store we've created a short film that captures the essence and mood of the collection.
The film is a dreamlike glimpse into the life of Amber Scott, Senior Artist with The Australian Ballet."

So let the adventure begin..

Hello Lovelies,

It's me!! Posting from fantastico Sydney in my new flat, in my new kitchen, in my new life! What a   b l a s t!
Since arriving here, I've been floating in and out of days cushioned by a happy bubble. My daily activities consist of trips to the Salvation Army, Ikea, eating glorious food (mostly cooked by my oh so wonderful sister who can create pure magic in the kitchen!), drinking fresh juice, chai latte (the quest of discovering the best chai shall be continued!),  morning sleep-ins, decorating and making ourselves at home.
At this point, my being here still feels rather odd...like an extended holiday with bits of reality that arise from living in a new country popping up here and there: getting a new phone plan, opening a bank account etc. Also, thinking about a new job which has been causing me just a hint of anxiety as it is the ultimate step of realizing I'm here to STAY.

So,  with being busy settling into our delightful new home, (which I'm sure will be the subject of many photographs yet to come as it is so pretty and I'm in love with it..) rummaging and pottering around merrily, I have not yet been out and about for extensive photo shoots. However, I'm not pressuring myself at all. For now, I am enjoying myself and the company of family to the fullest. There is all the time in the world...

Au revoir!

So this it it! My plane leaves tonight and I will be arriving in Sydney on the 7th! HERE I GOOOOOOOO!
It might be a little while until I can actually post again.  Therefore bare with me as I shall be back as soon as I have unpacked, grabbed my camera and taken some wild & free-spirited snaps at the (I can't believe I'm writing this...)  BEACH! Sounds very promising, no?! Oh it sure does to me!

But in the meantime I will leave you with this little clip I put together. I was given a beautiful sky ballon by my dear friends Esthi & Sonja as a going-away present. A while back I had mentioned to them how much I would love to one day be able to let a sky ballon fly. The idea of attaching a wish, hope or dream to the ballon and releasing it to carry those wishes up into the sky is so beautiful to me. And so Esthi & Sonja, being the darlings that they are, made that wish come true for me...It was beautiful! THANKY YOU LADIES!!

Take care lovelies!

Music box: Hindi Zahra.

Hello Lovelies,

It's sunday and therefore time for some MUSIC!I came across this vibrant & eclectic music video by Hindi Zahra.

What an explosion of color and aesthetics in every way that matters...! I didn't know her music prior to this great discovery and how glad am I that I do now! I think her website describes the nuances of her music perfectly:

"...a dash of gypsy guitar between the lines, and a hint of blues but with a capital B. Time stands still. Intense, intimate, poetic vibrations, with a velvety feline timbre."

Please enjoy...

While in Berlin my Zenith was in my bag every step of the way.

Berlin IV.

Sunday is flea marked day. I was delighted to find that this is also true in Berlin! We decided to head for one of the large ones: Flohmarkt am Mauerpark

Well, I have never experienced a flea market of such tremendous magnitude. I can't put it any other way. The site is huge! And the stalls are seemingly endless. Welcome to The Happy Knick Knackers Vintage Nirvana! You could easily spend a whole day rummaging through mountains of totally fabulous, absurd and utterly cool "stuff" and be quite happy. I am proud to say that due to my self-imposed and total shopping-ban I calmly kept my thrifter's mittens tucked warmly into my pockets and practiced true and committed restraint. I spent the day simply taking in all the impressions and marveling at the "amazingness" of this second hand extravaganza... If, by chance, you were to hear any rumors that  I may have broken this steadfast no-shopping law when I laid eyes on "japan tote bag" printed by students who were donating all proceeds to the Japanese Red Cross, you can either choose to believe them or not.
However, if you do, please also consider the extenuating circumstances of the possible offense and the greater outcome of the purchase in question...

After an hour we were famished, as we had not had any breakfast. So, what a joy it was when we came across  a funky-spunky trailer that made VEGAN food! Yes please! It was run by a lovely elderly aussie (!) guy who kept us all entertained with hits from the 60ties while we waited for our burgers... which incidentally were awesome! I'll have one of those any day & i'll be happy! Yes. I promise! Just as long as it's made by a loopy ex-pat from oz...in a bopping flower power van...on a glorious sunday...in Berlin...! Simple!

Although we had intended to get the markets early, we ended up sleeping in and therefore only arrived around lunch time. It was already quite busy when we got there but by the time we left about two and a half hours later the place was completely packed due to the  steady flow of people pilgrimaging down the main street to the site. Who could blame them? The sun was shining and so the Berliners took to mingling in their forum... Good vibrations!

(Let me comment on the last photograph: Just a weird lady working the shoes against the cobble stoned street. I do try to get it JUST right...! HA! )
